Friendship

After listening to U2's "Beautiful Day", I got a picture of a butterfly and her friend the ladybug flying around searching for flowers and enjoying each other's company. Maybe the image came from me looking at the photos of my friends on facebook or playing with my internet buddies on Team Fortess 2....either way, the sense of friendship was fluttering inside of me.

I chose to do a calligraphy painting of it for its elegance, and partially because I haven't done calligraphy in a LOOOOOOOOOONG time. So, while watching the seventh Harry Potter movie on DVD, I sat down with my brushes and begun this piece.

Friends come in every shape, size, colour, creed, and form.
Friends can lift up spirits in times of joy, laughter, loss, anger, and grief.
Friends come and go...but some friends manage to find a way to also be together...to be Best Friends Forever.
