I have noticed a pattern when it comes down to the comments section of video game reviews and just the general behaviour if a reviewer scores a game differently than what other reviewers have scored said game...namely, when the score is lower. You have those who scratch their heads ("The game is fun and I enjoyed it. Why didn't you?"), those who shall begin a debate and start listing reasons on why the game is superior ("It has one of best mechanics. The graphics look fantastic! The inventory system is layout perfectly!"), those who defend the game and its integrity to the ends of the earth ("This game was brilliantly amazing! It has the best storyline ever! You are completely daft to have not enjoyed it, and here's the reason why. You take back what you just typed!", and those who are full of so much hostility that make me cringe at the word "gamer".
Video games are form of art, and art is subjective. Therefore, video games are subjective...which apparently some cannot comprehend. I don't mind getting into a discussion or debate (I admit that I have acted like a knight at times), but when you start to harass other people and begin to act like a child, I then groan and realize why others view us so poorly.
