About two weeks ago, I had a gastrointestinal emptying scan done so that doctors could see how my lousy stomach process food. Like a lot of other medical procedures, I couldn't eat or drink past midnight. Then, I had to eat a disgusting radioactive egg, which the nurse repeatedly told me not to touch cause it was radioactive (I can't touch it with my fingers, yet it's okay for me to ingest it?!). The test itself takes about four hours. Also, they told me that if I threw up at all within those four hours (which mind you, I was feeling sick as a dog cause of all the bile building up in my stomach) that we would have to start the entire test all over again. Luckily, I managed to pass it.
